Bankstown RSL High Performance Academy 2018

The BCNA ‘High Performance Academy’ is a squad of players, that has

been identified as having the potential to accelerate the development of an individual’s Netball skills, fitness, techniques and game preparation experience.

The squad players are chosen annually from the current group of Bankstown representative teams, and their selection may be reviewed at any time.

Q)  Who is eligible to be chosen for the ‘High Performance Academy’

A)  All players who currently represent BCNA in an age rep team, Metro League, State Championships, NID or any other Netball NSW approved teams event. In addition, current BCNA rep players from other associations who are playing in teams for the first time, will be eligible for selection in their second consecutive year of representation. 

Q)  How are the players chosen.

A)  Input and feedback on eligible rep players from the BCNA selectors and BCNA representative coaches, is coordinated and reviewed by the Academy’s director of coaching and all selections are ratified by the BCNA Executive.

Q)  What is the player’s commitment to the Academy

A)  A mixture of several specialised coaching sessions, clinics and event attendance is organised throughout the current netball season, with the dates and timings, designed to have a minimal impact on the squad member’s netball schedule.
